Google Buzz推出只是一天，已經成為網界熱話。有人喜歡，有人在support forum大叫絕不使用。GMail用户是必然每天看見Buzz這個功能，其置入式宣傳和無線電視的手法可以相提並論。

如果你希望使用Buzz（以下簡稱GB）的話，有幾件事不能不知。

1/ 隱藏自己
GB和Google旗下的其他服務一般，是共用用户的profile的。而預設設定是把你的profile對外公開並容許搜尋。另外，Google在GB開放同時，亦在profile上加上讓公眾可以看見你的follower/following資料的預設設定。個人認為，這個設定實在太開放，並不合乎一般用家的私隱需要。幸好，這兩個設定都是可以關閉的，方法如下：

1. 首先當然是在Gmail中開動Buzz吧！從今天開始，如果你在瀏覽器上登入Gmail，便會先進入選擇開動GB的畫面，選擇之後便會進入GB的版面。（留意，在Gmail的Inbox下是有往GB的連結的。
2. 前往http://www.google.com/profiles/me，進入你的Google Profile。
3. 在右上角，按”Edit profile”。
4. Profile的右面有你的照片和三個check box:
- Display my full name so I can be found in search
- Allow people to contact me (without showing my email address)
- Display the list of people I’m following and people following me

如果你已經更新過public profile，並已試用GB，這三個check box 都會有剔上。只要把第一、三項的剔號解除，便可防止對個人profile的搜尋，並把follower/following資料變成非公開。

2. 過濾Buzz提示
GB的預設設定是在有人回答你的Buzz時候以email提示。最初可能沒有問題，但你的聯絡人（姑且稱為「必友」吧）數目上升時，提示便會越來越多。因為GB尚未有修改設定的專頁，所以不能關閉。現在的權宜之計，只有用Gmail的郵件過濾功能，把這些提示先過濾掉。希望Google盡快開啟設定頁面，讓我們把提示電郵關掉吧。

3.小心「@」
GB不知是從善如流還是抄襲，選擇了@號作為電郵地址的代碼。可是，Google的處理手法卻有點問題。因為GB是會在@號後面顯示用户的電郵地址，而非用户的名字，再加上Google的搜尋主導方針，相信很多用户會不經意地把自己的電郵地址外洩 。所以，為自己和必友的私隱著想，請暫時避免使用@號吧。

GB還是很新，所以有遺漏是在所難免。但以上的問題始終有較大影響，各位必友、準必友不可不知。
